Setting a Default Home Page in Firefox or Chrome

We have a school network using Windows Server 2008 R2 and clients running Windows 7 Pro. I know I can use Group Policy to set the default home page for all users when opening Internet Explorer but is there a way to do the same thing using Firefox or Google Chrome?

Thank you!

Hi

Download Firefox adm template from below
http://www.frontmotion.com/Firefox/firefox.adm

And assign this to administrative template As I have never used it would recommend to test prior deployment

Hi.

The aforementioned adm template does not apply to firefox. It only applies to frontmotions CE-edition of firefox. Neverthelesse, it is recommendable to use that CE version. The version is the normal firefox with GPO awareness added. It comes with a different desktop shortcut icon, but the rest is the same.

Link: http://www.frontmotion.com/FMFirefoxCE/download_fmfirefoxce.htm - see the correct adm at the bottom.

We had other issues come up on the server this weekend and I did not get a chance to work on this. I will provide feedback as soon as I can.

SO I downloaded the installer to a network share. Does this mean I have to go to each individual client and run this installer and then configure the home page?

I must be missing something because I still can't seem to get there.

What of the deployment howto is not clear to you? It's step by step.
