Hello I've inherited a semi-working sharepoint 2007 environment and I got most of it working except the excel services. When I go to the SSP admin page it all works except the excel area and if an excel is integrated into a sharepoint site when it kicks off it throws a generic error saying contact your administrator. <br />

When I go to the event log though I see event ID 5244<br />
<br />

Error = ExcelServerSharedWebApplic<wbr />ation.Loca<wbr />l: Could not get the shared web application associated with this context. This indicates that the Excel Server service is not properly registered or provisioned..<br />

the service account does have full access to the DB.
