Really weird SharePoint List ghost in Outlook 2007 / 2010

Like this ticket, but the test site where the calendar lived was deleted 2 years ago.

I have a few Outlook users that are complaining about a pop-up logon window to logon to a local sharepoint 2010 server.
logon splash
I have tried to delete the phantom published calendar but it needs to be deleted from outlook.
deleted splash
I have tried to change the behavior.
change splash
I'm thinking I need to try deleteing the .ost files and see what happens.

Any more ideas?

As above try turning off cached exchange mode, delete or rename the OSt and give it another go

Alternativley you might try closing outlook
    Reopen using
    Start>Run>Outlook.exe /cleansharing
