Postini Alternative

Google's Postini antiSPAM service is no longer a standalone product beginning in 2013.  Its being rolled into Google Apps.

I have a number of clients using Postini and need to migrate them to a new cloud service.  Most of them are small and cannot afford an onsite appliance.

Any good advice on a service that can rival the performance of Postini?  It would be nice to have continuity services and viral scanning.

Thanks

To correct your information, while Google is moving the Postini on the the Google Apps infrastructure, it will remain a stand alone service for current users.  The migration will not begin until feature/function parity is reached, so users will still have the daily quarantine summary.  Features not in Google Apps' spam filtering, such as Policy-Based TLS Encryption have already been added.

Pricing will also remain the same.

You do not need to move your users to any other service.  They can continue to use Postini for spam/virus protection and archiving.

Part of that may be true, however, you will eventually have to move off the service - or at least that is what I've read and spoke to resellers of the service.

I still need a service for new clients.

As a reseller, I can confirm that Google currently plans to provide Postini to existing customers indefinitely.

With that said, it sure would be nice for you to point us to a Google statement that confirms this.  Everything online that I can find reads that YOU MUST move to Google Apps.

Are there no recommened alternative services that anyone recommends?  McAfee has one I know but looking to evaluate a few if possible.

Thanks

Google's statement is that the service must move to the Google Apps infrastructure.

If your reseller has not provided you with this information, ask them for it.

Off the mind, I can think of these:

MX Guarddog: http://www.mxguarddog.com/

Paid
Spamhero: http://www.spamhero.com/
Proofpoint: http://www.proofpoint.com/

Hope this helps?
