Increase the number of backups using NTbackup

I do my backup every weekday on SBS 2003 using NTbackup. Backup location is NAS which is capable to store huge amount of data. All I want to do is to increase the number of backups (see picture attached). GUI does not allow to set this number larger than 10. How to increase it, because I need larger history of backups?

Hi,

Please upgrade Windows 2003 SBS Service Pack 2 and try again.

No high-priority updates for your computer are available.  It seems my SBS2003 is up-to-date. Any other ideas?

SBS 2003 only keeps a maximum of 10 backup logs.  If you want/need more you'll need another backup solution such as BackUpExec.

Sorry it's not the answer you're looking for but it is what it is.

I tried to see if there was a registry hack to increase this but couldn't find one.  Even if there were I'm not sure I'd want to use it for fear of messing up my backup jobs.

sacshimpi...Please don't offer "solutions" unless you are sure they will solve the asker's question.  This not only spreads incorrect information, it give false hope and wastes time while people are implementing your suggestion.

I have used the following registry change and it keeps additional backups for me
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SmallBusinessServer\Backup
changing Backup files to say 20 will give you an additional 10 backup files.

note Running ntbackup through Server management console only shows up the last 10 backups but if you look at the file location there are 20 backup files there.
