Exchange2010 Remote Wipe not possible on Android

Hi experts,

we are trying to use the active-sync Remote-Wipe feature on a smartphone with android custom rom (HTC HD2). We tried various ROMs and various android version (2.3, 4).
Acrive Sync works fine, policies regarding Device password from exchange2010 are accepted by the smartphone. When we send the remote-wipe to the phone, the smartphone restarts but after the reboot all data is still on the phone (WiFi-connection, Emails, contacts...). After about 1-2 minute the does another reboot and nothing gets wiped. We let the phone reboot itself three times and nothing got wiped.

Does somebody know what to do to get this running?
Is it because it is a custom ROM?

Thanks a lot!

    Accepted Solution

Support for ActiveSync functions, like remote wipe is down to the provider of the ActiveSync interface. As you are using a custom ROM, that would probably be the cause, and you have no support on it because it is custom. The standard ROMs for Andriod will usually support Remote Wipe.
