Search within a list doesn't work

Hi, we use SP2007 MOSS.
I have other sub sites where I use upper right corner search to search within the current viewing list and it has always worked.  I recently was contact to help with a sub-site where search for the viewing list doesn't work.  I tried searching different columns of that list and all presents no results found.
I checked the list settings and these columns all have just normal types like single line string, choice, number...
How can fix this?  Thank you.

If you are in Central Admin - SSP Admin - and look in the Crawl log to see if any URL's from that list show up.

Another thing to check is in the LIst Settings - Advanced.  There is an option to hide from search results.
