Can I change the XO LAN address on my Sonicwall NSA220 without affecting my configuration?

I want to configure my sonicwall while it's not the gateway for the local LAN.  When I'm done, I want to make it the gateway by turning off the existing firewall and changing the XO LAN address on my sonicwall to match the gateway address all the computers on the LAN are using.

Is this reasonable, or will I be causing myself problems?

I'm new to sonicwall, obviously.

Thanks for your help.

You can change it anytime. The only issue would be if you created custom Nat or firewall rules those would need to be updated unless using the X0 object. But other than that you should be good. :)
