Can't send messages from second account in Windows Livemail

Hi All

I have two accounts set up in Windows Livemail. Both accounts are receiving email no problem and the default account is sending emails with no problems. However, if I select the second account from the drop down menu when sending an email, the message just sits in the outbox. Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.

Regards

Terry

Yes, there are 2 separate folders. Normally the message just sits there with no error message and I delete it from the outbox. But just now I tried closing Livemail and clicked yes to the "you have unsent....do you want to send them now" message. This produced the following error:

The host 'smpt.fasthosts.co.uk' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly.

Subject 'Re: test'
Server: 'smpt.fasthosts.co.uk'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0D
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 25
Secure(SSL): No
Socket Error: 11004
I've just had a Homer Simpson 'Doh!' moment. Just realised that I had typed 'smpt' instead of 'smtp' in the outgoing mail server address which is why it will receive (correct address) but not send.

However, I would never even have looked if you hadn't pointed me in the right direction so I am awarding the points.
Terrygordon--Glad to hear all is well.  Thanks for telling us the "fix".
