VB.net Excel 2007 Workbook application

Hi

I am used to building Excel Add-ins in Visual Studio 2007. The deployed project needs to be installed at each client site. I now have a requirement where an Excel VBA spreadsheet has to
be converted to VSTO/VB.net in such a way that it remains as a standalone spreadsheet that cab be easily moved around and emailed to members of the company. Would an Excel 2007 Workbook project be the best for this?

Did you mean VS2008 project for Excel 2007?
If so, then VS2008 Excel workbook is the way to go. The VSTO code will be added to the excel file.

Note: Be aware on how the clientswill use your Excel file - if user only uses Excel to manipulate file then disregard this note else check:
