I am attempting to run an append query and i keep getting this error "The width of the unicode text column must be an even number of bytes"

    I assume you are using a non-Access backend for your data? (If it's Access then you have a corrupt file) - so what are you connecting to and how are you connecting?

    The problem in this case was a corrupt record, once i deleted it it solved the problem

    I was appending from one table to another in the same Access file, the the problem was the memo field in the bad record had ############# displayed in it
