WLAN USB adapter to Server 2008 R2

Hello. I use Server 2008 R2 as my playing evinroment. I would like to use wlan to connect my computer to the internet, but I am unsure which wlan usb will work with my server OS. I would appreciate any ideas.

I guess the best idea is to make sure, that the USB WLAN Adpater is stated as W2008 R2 or Win7 compatible. Also you need 64 Bit driver if W2008 is 64 Bit. Some devices work out of the box.

The second question is the acces point you use. Sometimes it is not a bad idea to take the USB stick from the same label like the WLAN router.

Newer devices support mostly everything, like 802.11a/b/g/n what represents the differnt speeds. But the protocols should not be mixed, some of them do not work together (means if you have several clients).

I assume, you use a server via WLAN only for playing around, I guess to connect a server via WLAN is at all not the best idea....
Better to connect the server to an access point via cable and connect the clients via WLAN, if you have a choice.
