Is there any advantage for backing up the data to a folders first and then backup the folders back to the tape, rather than backing up the data directly to tape ?
What's the procedure to restore a remote server after installing the basic operating system ? Do I need to grant it to the domain ? Is it possible to restore everything to a remote computer but under different computer name ?

The backup Exec will backup the remote server through BackupExec Remote Agent.
In case the remote server is down, I will install the orginal OS and partition it. Afterwards, what steps do I need to go through to restore the data to it.
