Hello all!

I have been trying to setup single sign-on all weekend without success. Can anyone please explain me how this can be done? When setup pass-through in webinteface, I only get a windows logon box

I have now installed CitrixReceiverEnterprise.exe version 3.3.0.17207. But the ssonsrv.exe is not running. Should this service run before I start an app also?

Also is it possible to get single sign-on for external users that authenticate using access gateway and are not members of the domain?

on the xenapp server in cirix appcenter there is a menu called single sign-on. Do I need to configure something here?

Yes the ssonsvr.exe should run before you even start an app.

But, wait I sense a confusion here.

There are two things you need to differentiate:

1. Passthrough Authentication (frequently referred to Single-Sign On, but really it isn't)
2. Single Sign On

The first option is what allows you to automatically get logged onto the web interface and be presented with all your icons without having to put in your domain credentials.

The second is a complete solution by Citrix (previously called password manager and which is referred by barrykfl) to provide you single sign on with all your apps hosted. That is if you have certain applications requiring credentials, with single sign on, once you're on the web interface, the SSON manager will handle the credentials for that application and let the client in without the need to manually put his credentials.

Therefore the menu you see in the App Center is one of four components to configure the latter (Single Sign On). The other three: -> central store -> single sign on plugin and -> optional single sign on service.

However the links I provided are related to passthrough authentication as this is what I have inferred you required from your question.

Thanks for clearing that up for me Mutawadi :)

I have now reinstalled enterprise reciver client and can confirm that ssonsvr.exe is running. I have also enabled pass through on both webpage and pnagent webpage. Also tried with and without kerbos mode. Followed this guide http://danielruiz.org/2012/06/22/web-interface-5-4-and-xenapp-6-5-pass-through-authentication/ without sucess. The windows logon box appears everytime. Tried on 2 different computers. One with Windows 7 and one with windows xp. Any other steps worth a try?

Also when trying to login to the reciver, the following errormessage appears:

The credentials supplied were invalid. Please try again.

This is the url that is located in the reciver: http://citrix.domain.com/Citrix/PNAgent/config.xml

Problem solved!

Solution was to go into the IIS7 Manager, drill down to your website, and open up the Authentication icon under IIS. You will see Windows Authentication in the list. Make sure it is set to enabled.Mine was set to disabled somehow

Also change security zone from trusted sites to local intranet. VOILA everything works :)
