From Symantec how to choose different interfaces for backup
Dear Supports,
My Backup Exec Symantec 2010 server has two interfaces with different IP address (backup 10.1.100.5 and service 10.1.1.5)
And File-server too has two interfaces (backup 10.1.100.6, and service 10.1.1.6)
Service port is the port used for accessing data by end users.
Backup port is a port that is used for backup.
From Backup server if I ping File-Server I get service IP address which is 10.1.1.6, because on the DNS server that is what is been set to be reached by end users.
I want to backup through Backup Interface 10.1.100.6. is there any feature that Symantec provide to different interfaces for backing up, or this has to be done through windows?
thanks
