AIX WPAR's - questions

1. Is it possible to create a WPAR inside a LPAR?
2. How should networking be defined inside a WPAR?
3. Is there a way to attach a WPAR console in case SSH won't work? This is going to be done via HMC also?

1 Solution
1) Yes, it is. See my comment in the previous thread.

2) A WPAR can have one or more network addresses assigned. This is done by associating such an address with a global network interface (en0, en1, ...) at WPAR creation time ("mkwpar -N ...").
In the global environment this address will then appear as an alias of the respective interface.

3) Yes, there is a way, but not via HMC console, because WPARs don't support RSCT.
There is a command "clogin" to be issued from the global environment which provides a limited function terminal to access the WPAR.
