VMWare converter deploy agent fails

Hello - we're using VMware Converter utility to copy physical servers into virtual machines on a VMWare host, and we're having trouble when RE-copying a machine for a second time.  It fails to deploy, no matter what we do - even after rebooting the target server.  What causes the agent to fail after it's already been ran on a server once?

thanks

Any error message?

Did you stopped all not required services on source?

Did you try to change file name, or location or machine name on target?

Do it offline using the VMware converter boot CD.

Good luck.

Install the VMware vCenter Converter Standalone 5.0 software on the Physical Server/Computer to be converted which is best practice, rather than trying to deploy the agent remotely - often most issues are Permissions and Accounts.

Thanks for your help, gentlemen.  running it directly from the target did the trick, as well as downgrading the version for the older OS.  thanks
