Web development - events

Hi all,
I haven't done web development in 8 years, need help.

I have a database (DB2).
I will put together a web page that pulls data from one database table.

Is there a way (or ways) to refresh the list of records on the client every time a new one is written into the table?
Is it possible to refresh just the list (datagrid or whatever) and not the whole page?

Thank you

    Accepted Solution

    1. For refreshing just the list or grid, use Microsoft ajax, Place the control inside an update panel.

    2. Implement CacheDependency

It's easy to implement in SQL Server but not sure in case of DB2.
