Synchronising Files

A user apparently had some files which synchronised to an existing server through her my documents folder mapped to her home folder.

Over the process of a few days, a new server was installed. The user says that when they were at home they saved some new files into their my documents folder, but when synchronisation was setup to the new server, she is adamant those files are now missing.

Surely, files which don't sync properly don't vanish into thin air. Having checked her notebook thoroughly and files on the new server, her 'supposed' files done at home are nowhere to be seen.
