temp profile in Win 7

I have a client who experienced a power outage while his computer was on.

When power was restored he was unable to restore his profile. He can only get a temp profile with the warning about losing any changes made.

There are no errors in the system or application logs

Running CHKDSK found no errors.

Restoring to a previous store point had no effect.

What should we try next?

Not sure what the error message you are receiving at your end but if you getting something like "The User Profile Service failed the logon” error message"

then do this to fix your profile issues

    Follow this steps:

Rename the user profile folder and delete both reg keys. Reboot and you should be fine.
