When trying to add in the _autodiscover record in DNS it does not seem to give me the option when trying to add a new record

the reasoning behind this is to setup Outlook Anywhere on exchange 2k10 ,

now when i go to the address it just brings up an IIS7 Homepage and not outlook anywhere ?

    It should be like this:

You don't need to create an autodiscover DNS record for Outlook Anywhere - at least not internally. Autodiscover internally is handled differently to the internet. When you enable Outlook Anywhere the clients will get that information automatically from the domain.

Externally you should have autodiscover in your DNS and on your SSL certificate. That will allow the clients to work correctly. Do you have a commercial SSL certificate in place?
