Netbackup 7.1 Policy for file servers

Hi we are using Netbackup 7.1 on windows 2008 R2 server. We have a file server on which we want to backup two drives with  1TB  and 3.5 TB of data.
I am trying to backup using MS-windows policy type on ExaGrid volume.
It is taking ages to finish the backup. I am able to get full backup for first drive 1TB but for second drive it never completes.

Is there any setting which i can try for fast backups.

Is the 2008 server a physical or VM? Also, are you multistreaming, or just running one stream at a time?

Hi,
What's typically with drives that contain a lot of data and a lot of small files is using the "Flashbackup" policy type.
Flashbackup will do a block level backup of your disk.
You also will have the possiblility to do a granular restore.
If the drive is completely lost, you can also do a fast blocklevel restore.
