excel print issue

I dont have much info on the subject, Im just looking to brain storm possible solutions or areas to look at. I have a client who has an excel workbook on a desktop in town A. He goes to town B and remotes to A to print this document. But the document no matter the settings or page breaks prints several pages instead of one. I am not the original tech and I have a few notes to go off of. What it sounds to me is that it is an export to excel from a web page( i run into this issue daily and all I do is save as xls and its fine. ) The client wont be in till friday but I need to have a few ideas to look at and im not getting much luck searching the web.
*print preview shows 1 page not 6
*All paper sizes are right and margins are correct
*adjusted page breaks accordingly
*Print active sheet only-doesnt change the problem still prints 6 pages
*scaling doesnt work

How is he "remoting" in to the workbook with something like LogMeIn?

You might look at hosting the workbook on SkyDrive or Dropbox, where it should retain the settings.

log me in, and hosting isnt an option for security reasons, all documents need to stay in network.
