Convert Access 2007 adp to Access 2007 accdb or mdb

I'm facing having to migrate several Access 2007 adp files back to Access 2007 accdb's or mdb's.  I've been unable to find a clear opinion whether this is possible and if so how to go about it.  Of course opening the adp and attempting to Save as ... an accdb or mdb just generates illegal format errors.  Thanks in advance !
