I'm a huge fan of doing lots of things in SharePoint, but if you are really a novice with the platform it doesn't make much sense to try and implement a time clock solution with SharePoint. &nbsp;Because for less than a couple hundred bucks you can get a reasonably good program to do the job...<br />

I downloaded the sample Timsheet app for Sharepoint 2.0 from microsoft but when I go to edit or update the employee timesheets it brings up a page of XML code. I imagine it needs Infopath which we don't have. <br />

Is there any alternative? Thanks. We just need to allow a handful of people to enter their work time like a time clock so that our payroll person can then download a CSV or similar file. I thought it would be easy with Sharepoint.
