Search within a list doesn't work for one of our sub site but works for all other site's lists

Hi, we use SP2007 MOSS.
I have other sub sites where I use upper right corner search to search within the current viewing list and it has always worked.  I recently was contact to help with a sub-site where search for the viewing lists doesn't work.  I tried searching different columns of that list and all presents no results found.  This sub site has 2 lists and both of them doesn't work when we use Search within the list.
I checked the list settings and these columns all have just normal types like single line string, choice, number...
How can fix this?  Thank you.

I check in the listing advanced setting and the list is checked at "Yes" to "Allow items form this list to appear in search results"

In the site setting, I checked the "Searchable columns" and there is no column selected and setup as NoCrawl.

I think the problem is just with list in this site.  I created a test list and that doesn't work either.

Thank you

Are crawls completing successfully?  If so, does the URL of the list appear in the Crawl Log?

Our Central admin won't start because System Account password was changed.  I'm correcting that on Thursday night. can I see the Crawl Log before that?  Where and what is the file name?  thank you,

LOL.  Well I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that your root issue is going to be a lack of crawling being done.

If your Central Admin won't start, it probably means your timer service isn't running either.

NEW Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 1.5

With Office 365, it’s your data and your responsibility to protect it. NEW Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 eliminates the risk of losing access to your Office 365 data.

But search is working with all other sub sites.  I can't imagine this is caused by Central Admin or crawling not complete since it only has problem with this site.

So you are saying you can upload a NEW document on another site, and it shows in a search result?

Have you fixed the password issue yet?

Yes, fixed the password problem last night.  Central Admin now comes up.  IIS was restarted.

Search now comes up with results but when clicking on the result's link it only takes me to the list and not in the edit of that record on that list.  It does that for my new test list at this site.  Result showing the list where it is in is kind of useless.  I need the result to show links that takes me to the edit of that record.  How can I fix this?  Thank you.

You need to start up a new question asking this. Please close this one out. If central admin wasn't working, it means your timer service wasn't either. If the timer isn't running, search crawls won't run either.
