Exchange 2007 Small business server service pack upgrade

I was runnign the serivce pack upgrade ( using the tool ) and the process could not find a file from the SP2 folder and therefore failed.

I have now got now exchange files ( as it removes them all as part of the upgrade process ) the SP2 advised me to reboot, I did ( obviously exchange did not start as the services were diabled and the files are missing ) I cannot now run the service pack upgrade as it says the files are missing.

Not sure where to go, I was thinking of rebuilding SBS on a new box and coping the whole exchange folder over ( obviosuly not overwriting the database ) or would a repair work, I know that SBS server is a bit techy when it is in the SBS mode and does not liek being messed throufht headd remove programs.

I cannot restore as this was a re format due to a recent hardware failure and the restore option is to old and on SP2 already so I cannot jsut copy the files.

Can you copy a new SP and try the reinstall ?
As its not working we can surely try few thing and see if that fixes. Copy the SP2 locally and run Locally as well not remotely preferably.

Thanks Rancy for your suggestion, I got all the files back from the volume shadow copy that i had done that monring but I think the registry was also lacking entries as nothing worked and I decided to do another reformat and apply the service pack properly. It is al lback working nicely.
