CRYSTAL 2011 - SUPRESS CROSS-TAB ROW

example of input data:
Name               Titles
doe, jame        books
eaten, lea        books
eaten, lea        light
null                  desk
                        shelf

cross-tab output  (in row Name)  (in  column  Titles)
                      books             light              desk      shelf
doe,jamie         x
eaten, lea         x                   x

This a simple example of what I need.  I have a cross-tab report that shows
the blank row of cells.  I can't suppress because there is data in the record (desk and shelf but name is null).  I don't want to show the row when the name field is null but need to show the titles desk and shelf in the cross-tab column.  Can I do this?

Well the idea is to have the "x" in the data section. If the Name is null or empty this is still a value and there should be a "x" in the "desk" and "shelf" columns. Are you saying that the whole role is empty ? Can you replace nulls with "n.a."

                      books             light              desk      shelf
doe,jamie         x
eaten, lea         x                   x
n.a.                                                                  x            x

You can only get desk and shelf in the cross tab if there is data for the column.

Do you have a table with all the possible titles?

Desk and shelf are in my data source. Since, no one possess a desk or shelf there is a blank row on the grid.  Desk and Shelf do appear as columns in the cross-tab.  I was wondering if I could suppress the empty row with desk and shelf still appearing as column.
