ant installation

Greetings, I'm trying to install ant to build an hadoop plugin.

When I run ant, it fails:
BUILD FAILED
/var/tmp/hadoop-2.0.0-cdh4.0.1/src/hadoop-mapreduce-project/build.xml:1779: Class org.apache.tools.ant.taskdefs.ConditionTask doesn't support the nested "typefound" element.

I'm told this is an ant thing.  Not a Hadoop thing.
I have CENTOS 6.

In JIRA, there's a command to execute:
sudo ANT_HOME=$ANT_HOME make install

but that errors out too:
make: *** No rule to make target `install'.  Stop.

Does anyone have any experience with ant? and can tell me what to do to allow for this infamous nested "typefound" element?

Thanks

Check you have a high enough version of Ant or patch it. See https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/THRIFT-731
