Missing content in email body

I am having an issue with missing email content.
Randomly the content of the email does not show, has subject, no content on the Outlook client as well as OWA.
This started after moving to Exchange 2010 on Small Business Server 2011 Standard.
Server is fully patched using WSUS and a clean install as migration had too many issues.

I found other users that have similar issues when running ESET anti-virus.
We have the latest File server version 4.5.12005.0 on the server and a mix of ESET 4 and 5 on clients running Outlook 2003 SP3, Outlook 2007 SP2 and Outlook 2010 SP1 (this Outlook client has Security Essentials as Outlook 2010 kept locking up with EST 4 and 5).
At the moment I have disabled the ESET File Security server Email client protection component, emails are downloaded using a POP3 utility (EFS).

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Kind regards,

Some users on Exchange 2010 may receive email with blank content when ESET NOD32 4.x is installed on client machines

We have been looking at that but one user does not have NOD32 but still the same issue?
Any suggestions from ESET support have not resulted in a fix.

HTML in the message body is usually the result of a corrupt message due to an antivirus scanner.

missing content can be the result of typing in the signature field - if the last lines disappear. This would not be the cause of lines in the middle disappearing.

Does it work better in safe mode? (Hold Ctrl as you click on the Outlook icon to start in Safe mode.)If so, what addins are installed?

There is no content at all, not even the original message that was being replied to, only the subject line.
    Message is in HTML format.

    To make it more complicated:
Messages are blank on Outlook client but on iPhone they show text.
When I forward same message from ISP mail server to same user email address message comes through ok.

    Accepted Solution

    Hello all,

Thanks for your input, turned out to be the POP3 downloader EFS.
Directed all mail directly to the Exchange server and the problem has gone.
