Adobe Acrobat Pro won't launch

I have a user who is running Windows 7 Pro and we recently installed the Adobe CS6 suite on his system. It worked great for a month or so but recently the Acrobat Pro X has failed to launch. It won't automatically launch when double clicking on a PDF file, and it won't launch from the start menu or the task bar or even the desktop icon. It was fully installed and activated the same day, so now I hate to just uninstall it due to the activation. I can't deactivate it without getting it running first. Any ideas?
