Search Toolbar Required/Joomla

Hi

We want to enable a search bubble on our Joomla powered website, however - we already have a search function uploaded on our site but we want it to have a click button that says "go" or "done" next to it for people who don't know whether to push the "enter" button afterwards. So we want to have a button next to the search bubble similar to the example that i have attached on this text. This will help you have an idea of what we want and telling us  how to do it if possible.

Please see attached Jpg file.

Thank You.

The ajax search from Rockettheme show you the result while you type the words you are looking for. there is no need for a GO button.

You upload it and then add it as a new module in the extension/module manager. The module positions are different from template to template. Maybe you need to try a bit before you find the module position you want to have the search field.

Here is an exemple how this can look like: http://www.connectme.ch

What does it mean to be "Always On"?

Is your cloud always on? With an Always On cloud you won't have to worry about downtime for maintenance or software application code updates, ensuring that your bottom line isn't affected.

I have downloaded the extension and uploaded it already into my manager, but can you give me step by step instructions on how to incorporate it into my website to start functioning  - because i don't know how to make it work. I am using cloudbase 2.0 template.

Ok, it looks like, your template use the gantry framework. Thats perfect.

1. Go to Extensions -> Modul Manager
2. Klick the orange + (new) button on top to add a new Modul
3. search "RokAjaxSearch" and click it
4. Enter a Title but hide it by "show title"
5. by position klick "select position"
6. type hea in the filter field and klick "search"
7. select "header -f
8. klick "save & close"
9. check the front end, if the search field appear.

If not, go back to the module and change the postion to header -e/ -d .... or check in the template, if the position is activated in the Gantry Settings.
