Excel taking long time to load - possible links issue

I have an Excel 2007 document which is taking ten minutes to load on the users machine.  If I try on my machine it opens in seconds.  My machine does not have the same mapped shares as the other users so I assume the issue is with one of the linked files.

Is there a way to troubleshoot links?  I would like to be prompted with when the links are opened to see if one is very slow or if possibly there is a circular link some where.

I can't comment on if it's the links but if it's opening fine for yourself but not "Joe Bloggs" have you compared Service Packs? I had this problem earlier in the user with users opening documents located on shared drives.

I ended up rolling out Office 2007 - SP2 to all users and this seems to have fixed the bug.
