    Accepted Solution

Backup and Restore is one way of doing this, another way is to detach the DB (mdf & ldf) from your original server and attach these files in new server using Detach\Attach method. Remember when you use any of these options, Server objects like Logins, Linked servers and SQL Server jobs etc are not transferred to the new server, you need to manually copy them using SSIS or another script method.
