The SQL server 2005 mirror mode (asyn or syn)

Dear all,

Anyone know, if I configure the SQL mirroring via UI, database properties windows, what mode is the mirror? Async or sync?

It seem that I can't see any option like this in the UI when I set the mirror up.

Any way to configure the mirror from UI to use Asyc mode?

I can tell you that Async mode is only available in Enterprise Edition SP1 for 2005.  So if you have that, then you can configure it.

If you don't have that edition, then it makes sense that you would not have that option to choose from.

ahaha.

Today I just figure it out myself, that's exactly what I found out also and we are using standard edition.

and I also surprise that we can only change the mode to Async once the DB is mirrored, but not before it is mirrored.
