FM - How to Start/Install Web Services

I want to add web services now; however, the Start button in the Admin Console is greyed out.  So, doubleclicked on the FM server installer file thinking it would give me the option of adding, but it only gives me the option of removing or repairing.  How do you add web services/PHP?  Thanks.

    Accepted Solution

In the FileMaker Server Admin Console there is a link to "Edit Server Deployment" which is what you need to run in order to add Web Publishing. Before you run it make sure you are clear about what configuration you are using - one, two or three machine (see FMS documentation if you're not sure) - and have an available web server running. On Windows, this means IIS, on Mac it would be Apache.

The Deployment Assistant will walk you through a series of steps including locating and identifying the web server that will be used. Once you are done the Web Publishing option will become available to Start/Stop.

Thanks, it worked.  I knew I was missing something obvious.
