HTML5 and Development

What are minumum development tools needed to build HTML5 web site?

Is a development PC with WinXP platform, Visual STudio 2010 and SQL Server 2005 gonna cut it?

That would probably work for .NET.  For HTML, CSS, and PHP all you need is a text/code editor.  An FTP program to upload your files, a graphics program to edit images.

I'm a .net developer but like many, have been locked in a particular environment for a while.

I don't have access to the same level of tools I do in my home office.

At work, I have
.Net 4.0
VS2010
SQL Server 2005

Remote Connections to the Web Servers

etc

Just wondering about the HTML5 thing

Here is a blog post about it with links to some updates that you might need: http://kishore1021.wordpress.com/2012/04/01/introduction-to-html5-development-using-vs-2010-html5-jquery-mobile-and-asp-net-mvc-4/

However, you should note that no browser provides 100% HTML5 and that each browser supports a different subset.  This page http://html5test.com/ gives you a good idea of what your browser supports.  There is tab comparing many browsers also.
