Searching Symantec
I have to find out when a file was last backed up. Does anyone know if there is a file search feature in backup exec 2010 that could help with this?
ASKER
I have been asked to restore a file that was just noticed missing. I could go through the catalogs day by day to see when it was last backed up (we do a full backup every night). However, I am hoping there is a way to search all the catalogs in the system to see when a file was last backed up.

Not understand your question!
I assume that you want last successful backup's date/time of each resource; It like drives,
volume's C:\, D:\, or system state or any folders/directories or databases.
In the "Backup Exec"; open the last backup job log. Click on "Job History," in the job
history you will find, each resources back up date and time individually.
If you are backing up exchange data, you will find, last successful backup's date/time in
the storage group property.

Thanks, it got me on the right path. It was actually kind of easy. I found it under Edit and Search catalogs..
