Computer alerts in sbs 2011 essentials dashboard not viewable

I have several computers in the sbs 2011 essentials dashboard that show urgent alerts but when I click view computer alerts no alerts are in the dialog box that appears.

All but one of the computers are w7, the other is xp. I haven't installed the pro pack for the w7 pc's. Is that necessary to view these alerts? What benefits am I missing out on by not using pro pack?

No alerts might mean a false alarm or it might mean that an error has been detected in the event logs that it can't translate.  Check the event logs and the progress of Windows Updates and let us know.

ProPack added GPO managment for Windows 7 to SBS Essentials in the form of many predefinded GPO's that you can use.

Turns out, in the upper right corner of the dashboard there are icons with the different alert types and the number of alerts. When you click on it, it gives details on the alerts. And now, after clicking on that I can click "view computer alerts" and it gives the details there also. Kinda strange.

    Thanks, for you answer.
