problem with copying Excel data blocks to an Indesign Table.

In the past, when I copied a block of excel cells to a table in an InDesign document and did a simple Paste command, each data value went into its own position in the InDesign table.  Now (with no known change in the software), the entire block of excel cells are pasted into ONE position in the InDesign table.

I dont know if this is an Excel or Indesign issue.  (Excel 2007, Adobe Indesign 5.5, Windows 7)

Please advise,

Have you tried the Data Merge option in InDesign?
