Radio Over IP

I'm looking for a way to run radio over data T1 point to point or over public internet.

Currently we have point to point analog lines from our base to a building in the city for our fleet. But it causes many problem such as line disconnecting, noise.

Our radio vendor seems having no idea of any alternative other than this old type of analog point to point lines. I searched  briefly in web, Adding Adtran device end to end with data T1 point to point, it's possible to run radio just like analog point to point line. If you have any experience with this, please let me know.

Also, the other option, mostly I like this way, is radio over IP. Is it possible to have radio delivered through public internet?

You can use VLC to stream audio.
What is the source of your radio audio?

I think he means radio communications.  I don't think VLC is up to that task.

Eye-catchers on the conference table

Challenge: The i-unit group was not satisfied with the audio quality during remote meetings. They were looking for a portable solution with excellent audio quality for use in their conference room but also at their client’s offices.

@ crcsupport

There are a number of good solutions on the market depending on the total mission.  The simplest and straight forward would be a Pair of Raytheon/JPS NXU-2A units (One on either end).  You probably need to put the radio remote, and a handset / console local.

More complex, look at the Bosch/Telex C-Soft solutions, the C4I Solution, the Catalysis Console, the new Zetron Console excreta....

Hey, Phonebuff,
I just briefly read through content table, it looks like Radio over IP over internet?
We have old units(handset and modat which shows what car punched in). So basically putting the pair of it on each end will completely make virtual analog point-to-point RTNA lines?

It uses Internet or Intranet and sometimes requires a little Firewall provisioning, but it's a great very flexible solution and the Tech Support group is great.. You can buy a pair through Tessco.
