Win XP network printer set up

Attempting to set up a network printer using its IP address. Works fine under win 7 and Mac OS. Under Win XP Pro I cant find where to plug in the IP address. Under Printer set up/ network printers set up the box insists on a web address (http://www.xxxx-------etc) and will not accept just the 192.xxx.xxx.xxx IP.
Am I in the wrong place or am I missing something simple?
Thanks

You have to setup that printer as a local printer, and then when you can select the port use the create a new type of port option. There you can then set a standard tcp/ip port.
