I am trying to use a wild card SSL Cert in Msexchange 2010 in IIS 7 amy only options are to generate a new  certificate request, complete a certificate request , or import

I cannot use the first 2 items since I alraedy have the certificate and don"t have access to the Certreq file when this SSL Cert was created  so it apears my only option is to import the cert but it won"t except that either

When you exported the wildcard certificate, did you also export the private key with it?
If not, then that is why Exchange will not accept it.

IT appears so because its asking me for a password. The problem is I received the wildcard cert from another division and I don"t know the password

Then you are stuffed. You need the password.

A self signed certificate isn't trusted, so you will get errors.
For a troublefree Exchange deployment you need a commercial SSL certificate.
