Email messages have no text from exchange server

Today, all new emails that arrive through our exchange server have the message text missing (the body of the message is blank).  The subject and all other fields of the message are filled out and normal.  

What is the fix?  Is this a corrupted pst file?  On the server, or at individual workstations?  We are running MS enterprise server 2008, with MS Outlook exchange 2010 on the server.  No problems prior.

Strangely, the same messages that arrive to my iphone from the same exchange server are normal.

Ideas please.

If to some particular user than check with OWA\Webmail.
Is there any AV or Email scanner ?

As said above test using OWA, i also suggest to check the App logs and give a reboot too. Then test again.

Seen this loads of times.
If the OWA test is clear then it is something client side.
Primary reasons for the problem:

- AV or other plug in within Outlook
- dodgy Windows profile
- dodgy Outlook profile.

If OWA is clear, see if the problem follows the user to another system. Make sure the original is shutdown when you do that test.

If it is happening with all users then it has to be something client side, unless an AV application has an issue. Again the OWA test will give an indication of where the problem might be.

Thank you for the input so far.

I have checked using OWA and yes email coming through OWA is affected, although as I said before, my iphone is not.

It is not just one or two users, it is all users.

Users are running AVG or Spy Doctor, which does not seem to change problem.  Server is not running AV.

I rebooted both users and server, no change.

I will look at app logs next.

It could still be client side.
If the message is being damaged after delivery, the damaged version would be uploaded back to the server. For a valid test you need to shutdown Outlook completely and use OWA exclusively.

Lets see how the AV check output comes.
In the meantime To be on safe side ensure both the problem users change their password.
Since OWA too shows that there is problem it does not make much sense still trying creation of a profile on another machine is worth a try.

OK, I will try:

creating a new profile on another machine.

shutting down outlook and have clients use OWA only for long enough to test

run AV on user machines  and see if clean

well, it is fixed.

I installed all updates on the exchange server and then installed office 2010 in place of office 2007 on the user machines.  Not quite sure why it went away, but it did so I'm happy for now.

I'll spread around the points.
