i have a folder that has a full backup of files from backup  exec 12.5 from a server that no longer exists.

i have another server with backup exec 12.5 on the same domain that i am trying to use to restore data from the previous servers backup.

i was able to add the location and the new backup exec can read the data. when i go to test credentials (its the same user/pass as before) it says access denied and i cannot get the backup to restore.

how can i get around this or get it to work?
