You'll probably have to delete some things (old photos, videos etc) to make room for new stuff. Or if the iphone has different storage options select another which isn't full already.

If you know the device is not full, reboot it and try again.

I only have 1,056 pics on it and I just got the Iphone in April. What do you mean by reboot it? I've shut it down and turned it back on, still nothing. It happen when I was at a concert this weekend as well and after I shut it off, I was able to take a couple of pics, but that was  it. The error message showed back up again...ugh!

Free Tool: Subnet Calculator

The subnet calculator helps you design networks by taking an IP address and network mask and returning information such as network, broadcast address, and host range.

Go into Settings on your iPhone > General > About

It will tell you the capacity of your iPhone and how much space you have Available. My Guess is you have run out of space?

Also in the General Page is Usage, that will list any apps that are using up a lot of space.

One thing you should consider is deleting old applications that are large and you no longer use.  You'll always be able to download them again later if you want them back.

To do this from the IOS Home Screen tap on "Settings", then tap on "General" followed by "Usage", this will show you how much space is available and what applications are eating it up.

The usage list is sorted by total size, starting form the top look through the list find those applications that you don't use often and are large.    When you find one you want to delete tap on it and a big red "Delete App" button will appear.  Confirm the deletion and you have freed up space.

Other places to look your Photos & Videos take up a lot of space consider backing them up to a computer instead.

I'd personally delete all music off the device and just use streaming services or Home Sharing to play.

If you do download videos from iTunes choose the standard definition videos as they take up much less space.

Good luck.
