Exchange 2007 Flush the logs

Hi,

Will the regular windows backup flush the exchange logs ? or do I need a different type of backup?

Exchange 2007 on a 2008R2 server

Yes regular windows backup flush the exchange backup and also exchange awareness backup software also flush the exchange logs.

do I need a different type of backup? - Exchange Online backup (Microsoft Information Store backup)

You need to use exchange aware backup. Win 2008 becomes exchange aware after you install Exchange on it.

Try this. This will truncate logs.
