I have a spreadsheet (attached file) that I use to print binder covers for various projects.

Right now I manually revise the conditional format to select border, background and text colors.

I would like to select those colors from a table and have them automatically update.

Can somebody help with this

An example of the spreadsheet is attached.

What version of Exel are you using.  This sounds like it might be a candidate for the "Themes" functionality.

Is there a finite number of color/font schemes you need/use, or do you need a wide range/high degree of flexibility?  For example, is the brown background/yellow border/white text sample one you would reuse and would find value in making one "theme" selection to apply all three styles?

I want to use different colors for each business area and each project within that business area.

Ideally I'd put the color Code # in a cell and have that dictate the colors

Thanks

This should be possible, but I think you would need to use VBA (not my forte).  I would update your question title to include "VBA".

I see the file, but not really sure what you are looking to format?

the colors on the "cover print" tab are driven by conditional format

I'm looking for vba code that can change the color of the conditional formatted cells
