send data from rtu to pc which connected to internet with dynamic IP

Hi i do have a RTU (onsite) which going to send data to my pc in office. My pc was connect to modem with dynamic IP.

From my : Ethernet adapter local area connection, i do obtain
IP Address : 10.1.1.2
Subnet Mask : 255.255.255.0
Default gateway : 10.1.1.254

I did browse my modem and attached the ip i do obtain.

Can i use the WAN ip to send data to mysql?

Try http://www.no-ip.com/  they have a free option.

Not really, because that will change.  You may want to use something like DynDNS to set up a dns name with a dynamic IP updater.  You can set your computer to a static IP and then do the routing that way.

Here's the service I'm talking about: http://dyn.com/dns/

Use it to create a hostname like hostname.dyndns.org.  You will install a small service that grabs your WAN IP and updates the A record in DNS.  Then you will need to set up a port forward from your router or modem for MYSQL (TCP 3306) to your destkop 10.1.10.2.  

If your modem doesn't support port forwarding you may need to acquire a cheap linksys or netgear router.
