Greetings!

I'm configuring a server for a new helpdesk software, and unfortunately I'm having trouble installing some of the PHP modules that are required for it First off, I'm using PHP 5.3.17 on Server 2008 R2, with IIS7.

 I've looked around at some of the previous questions concerning MCrypt, but it seems that those solutions have not been able to help me. I've looked in the Add/Remove Programs>Change to see if I can install additional modules (attached is a screenshot of my options when I do look at the Change menu for PHP). I have the modules (mcrypt and libcrypt) downloaded to my server, but I am unsure how to compile them or if that is even a possibility in my case.

Thanks in advance!

I've tried that. I think that post may be outdated. I've looked in the 5.3.17 folder, and there is no libcrypt, as well in the ext folder there is no mcrypt.dll.

I attached some screen shots. Am I looking in the correct place?

Check that php_mcrypt is uncommented in php.ini.
If you have phpinfo page run and check if it is loaded.

This is the only entry I have for mcrypt in the php.ini.  Considering I don't have a libcrypt.dll I don't have a way to uncomment and use these correctly. Directly below is all the [php_module], but mcrypt is not included in that list. I also do not have a php.info file.

Sorry, I'm new to PHP. :(

Create a page called phpinfo.php and place this in it
<?php
phpinfo();
?>
Call the page from a browser

Hmm, so that phpinfo.php says that it is enabled, yet I don't see the mcrypt.dll in there...

There is no dll in 5.3+ anymore (have had to refresh my memory)
Are you having a problem using it.

No, but I was going through a required checklist and making sure everything was working before I proceeded with the next step. Like I said, I'm new to PHP (read:never used it).

Well thanks for the help, sorry it ended up being a wild goose chase :)
